Welcome to the Longinoja trout stream!

On this nature trail, you can learn about this unique urban brook, its endangered trout and how the nature is being protected. The Longinoja trout stream meanders through northeast Helsinki from Tapanila to Malmi and flows into the Vantaanjoki river via Savela.

The nature trail is 2 km long and takes you from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences to the Vantaanjoki river. The trail is accessible for wheelchair users with the exception of the section by the Kehä I ring road.

This trail was built based on the initiative of volunteers who helped restore the stream. The project was implemented by the City of Helsinki’s Urban Environment Division.
